Our Mission

Moving Mosaic Therapy & Counseling, PLLC is an equal partnership private practice providing therapy and counseling to children, adolescents, families, adults, and various forms of relationships. We aim to provide a nurturing, honest, co-creative, and relational space to promote care, comfort, challenge, and personal & community growth.

Meet Our Founders

We are Katie Dominguez, Lily Gonzalez, and Peter Navarro. Somos Latine y LGBTQ+. We have created and run an inclusive, equitably aimed & operated, sex-positive, body-centered practice. We are consciously aware of many systemic issues facing our current world & will continue to expand our own personal growth to provide high quality and accessible care to all identities who work with us. We are three with similar, yet differing, identities and lived experiences who have joined together aiming to provide a sanctuary to our clients and each other.

“So often we have need of a place, a space serving both as one of refuge and centerstage to step deeper into our power and authenticity. To understand ourselves as we truly are in all our complexities, contradictions, and multitudes. You are welcome whether you are trying therapy for the first time or would like to deepen your existing therapeutic journey.”

“As a queer, Latina, and immigrant clinician, I believe your individuality is unique, important, and above all a strength and asset. I am a sex-positive therapist and work with individual and relationship clients of all identities. I have learned that our cultural and/or gender role expectations, our upbringing, and our biology inform our internalized value system and our identity.”

“I work with you to witness. To be ready, able, and willing to see your misunderstood, forgotten, loved, freed, avoided, lost, healed, wounded, unheard, privileged, and marginalized parts; the parts that make up the whole. Following your lead, we will then try to put the pieces together in hopes of creating access into a deeper & harmonious relationship with yourself, the relationships in your life, and the communities you live with and alongside.”

Meet Our Clinicians

“One of my favorite literary quotes is from the poet and writer Anne Carson: Sometimes a journey makes itself necessary. It brings to my mind so many images: a gentle nudge toward a dream, the idea that pulls you toward achieving a long-held goal that seems far away, or the feeling of being tossed into the storm and knowing you must sink or swim. Everyone has found themselves in the middle of at least one of these experiences. I’m not afraid to admit that I’ve experienced all three. Solutions require hard work and determination, but that doesn’t mean improvement and growth are unachievable.”

“Are you feeling unheard, misunderstood, struggling to find your footing in this world? Navigating this thing we call life can be a daunting process. Starting therapy can be a difficult decision and my desire in this work is to meet you where you are and build trust as we embark on this journey together. In my work, I seek to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore the many layers of yourself. I am honored to participate in the journey of you authoring your own story, one that fully encapsulates the complex person whom you are.”

“All of us long to experience a sense of belonging and to be taken in as the person we authentically are. Unfortunately, at various points in our lives, many of us consciously (or unconsciously) exile parts of ourselves as a way to adapt to our personal circumstances or to the demands of the oppressive systems we navigate. While there is much innate wisdom in this process as a mechanism of survival, it can also create inner turmoil and distress, as we–like the societies we inhabit–are effectively turning away from ourselves. I believe there is a message in the distress that has taken root in us, and this is an invitation to slow down and become curious about what in ourselves might need our attention. In doing so, we can access the wholeness which dwells within all of us.”
